Join us as we bring together a group of artists, writers, and scholars to discuss issues of race as they relate to the question of marriage equality in the United States. What are the ramifications of marriage equality for the black community? What does it mean to advocate for a new set of civil rights. What are the relevant issues of social justice that complicate the current intense focus on marriage equality? What conversations can we have about race, civil rights, and social justice?
