Ken Barnes is president of KENBARNES Global Advisors LLC, a San Diego based management consulting firm specializing in the regulatory issues which impact business growth and new product development.  In addition to his corporate business activities, Ken also serves at the Executive Director of California Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse, and has tackled a number issue advocacy challenges for his clients. In 2012 he led the successful organization of African American owned media outlets, along with key community leaders across California, in opposition to the proposed Proposition 29 tobacco tax. Then in 2014 he built a coalition of business, progressive, conservative, religious, and political leaders to fight a pending gas tax increase.  He has served on the boards of numerous civic and political organizations in California, as well as in New York City and Beijing during his residence in those cities. Ken holds a BA in Political Science from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a MBA from Philadelphia’s Drexel University
